| The SIParator is a SIP security device which
can be installed either in the DMZ of an existing
firewall, or as a standalone entry point into the
LAN. With the SIParator in place, organizations
can manage and control SIP traffic and establish
policies for network access. The SIParator also
helps to resolve differences in SIP implementations
by performing translations, a process also called
normalization, between ITSPs and the ShoreTel UC
system.

The ShoreTel VPN uses a dedicated VPN Concentrator
for remote IP phones, enabling IT staff to implement
a very secure and flexible remote access policy.
Remote users simply connect a ShorePhone IP telephone
to a broadband router and with minimal configuration
establish a secure tunnel to the ShoreTel VPN Concentrator.
